WIND ME UP CHUCK

The Chuck Brown Band

Let's Get Free Concert

3rd and Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC

Join us for a free concert w/ dead prez, Mumu Fresh & Flor de Toloache, the Chuck Brown Baand more, brought to you by Popular Democracy. Let's get free! From Popular Democracy: In America, power belongs to the people. An authoritarian movement is threatening our rights, our votes, and our place in this country. They want to divide us, silence us, rewrite who counts. But there are more of us than there are of them. On July 9, we march on the Supreme Court — the anniversary of the 14th Amendment, the moment "We the People" expanded to include us all. When everyone has equal protection under the law, and every voice counts, it becomes harder to rig elections, hoard power, and rule by fear. We march at dusk, a nod to everyone who has hidden in the cover of night, from those fleeing slave catchers to families today hiding from ICE.

Later that evening, we celebrate our communities coming together to tell a different story with a joyful concert featuring Flor de Toloache, Mumu Fresh, Chuck Brown Band, Kemba, Syrup Kids, and dead prez!

A multiracial, multicultural democracy isn't just possible — it's the only way this country moves forward. Let's get free.
